| "Suicide Sam" LWB Samurai...
Well I've always been a fan of Suzuki Samurai's... I have owned a few of them and regret selling them. So i stumbled across a few Axial Trail Ranger bodies and decided to build one up. I've built a few of these in the past and loved them, the wheelbase is perfect. I really love Pincflat's, Fargo and Little Goat and of course Reign RC's 410 LWB Mule builds. So here we go I'm mocking it up off a beet up old body i built for RC Kraver a few years back. Spec List... - All hardened Robinson Racing gears. - Hardened Axial rear end gears and high speed hardened front gears. - Axial aluminum high clearance knuckles and clockable axle C's w/Axi CVD's. - Axial stock 6 hole bead locks Rip Saws for now. - JR Racing 9000 steering servo. - Tekin FXR with a hand wound 35t Novak Rockstar motor. - KMS K2 servo winch. - 11 5/8" WB stock Axial driveline's I custom built a 4 link bracket "needs paint" so the servo horn would miss it, because really want to try not to use a Hand Bros. with a pan hard on this build. I've only got one left and they are getting hard to find... I also moved the Tranny as far forward as I could, I hate running shorter links in the rear... I also figure the more the weight is up front the better off you are. Well its a roller and I started on the interior cage and sliders... Last edited by Mr. LowBudget; 07-24-2013 at 03:54 PM. |

Well Sam worked great at the G6 this weekend I lost my front drive line after finishing the Mini Rubicon and was forced to run the rest of the course in 2 wheel drive So with a lot of wheel speed, some pull thro assist and totally beating the crap out off the little guy we were able to finish with a first place win Now that I've got the suspension all dialed in its time to finish it up Here's a list of things to finish... 1- build a Drop bed 2- finish interior 3- add a driver and passenger 4- get all my scale accessories installed 5- build inner fenders 6- beef up the drivelines |

Thanks but may have spoke to soon. The front bumper was wrapped separately and I didn't see it. Sent from me using my DNA Last edited by BigJon; 02-26-2014 at 02:48 PM. |
