Default Need help plz

I have had my scx10 for a while now and I need something to make it a little better on the trail with a little bit of crawling thrown in. I have a winch, 2s lipo, 55t axial motor, stock esc. Rc4wd 1.55 Irocks and steelies. I mostly trail and climb a dirt pile near my house. What can I do to help the truck perform better. The only thing is I only thing is all I have is $50.

have you weighted the wheels as you don`t say it should help you with climbing another thing is 4 link the rear it will help with articulation other than that you seem to have a good rig for what you want it for

It's 4- linked front and rear and their is weigh on the chassis bc last time I weighted my wheels it ate my berings and I have a weighted set of 2.2 mashers with no foams and holes in the rims

For less than $50 I'd get a set of overdrive gears for the front of your rig. It'll help your climbing performance and turning radius

Id say the mashers are holding you back, that's not really a scale or crawling tire. If your went to something else like irok interco or rover or anything else that is a soft compound truck tire it would probably perform better.

What area do you want to improve? Better Crawling? Better trailing? I imagine the two biggest limitations of your rig are that 1.5's don't leave much ground clearance and that a 55t motor is a little slow?

The 1.55 are 4.33 and 1.9 flat irons are 4.25 and would a 35t give me more speed and keep the same torque and run time

I run the stock 27t with a 14t pinion. My mate runs 27t with 16t pinion. I prefer his. He has a little more speed than me which helps him get up some slopes I seem to run out of steam on (Theses are slopes where traction is a issue - Silt etc). I think my truck is a bit heavier than his though. They both have a lot of torque and low end control still and climb like goats.

When I got my first scx the first things I did were esc 35t motor shocks and tires and weighted the wheels... I will say changing the motor from a 55t to a 35t probably made one for the biggest differences just because I had the when speed to get up a lot of the trail.
