Default On the edge

Before my trans crapped out on me I had one of those "wait what path am I on" moments. I'm not sure that these pictures quite do justice to what a sheer drop there was. Needless to say I need to take a look around more often

Ah but it's such a rush! :-)

You seem to have modded the bed and have the battery in the rear? Or was this a Dingo/JK convert? Putting the batt up front will make it crawl better. :-)

The battery in the stock position made it a little too tipsy for me, with it lowered in the front it hit the servo when fully compressed so it was off to the rear! To off set it there is an equal amount of weights added to the front on the rails plus extra weight in the tires. It does a good job crawling with this set up but it weighs almost as much as my summit now

It could have cost him his truck if the batt. Was in front tho!

I think I would have jumped after it if it did fall.

That looks like a fun place! So how far down was it to the bottom?

Have you tried the batter crossways just behind the tranny? I really like the balance that way on my Honcho. The weight was a little lower and it did really well both climbing and decending. I now have a saddle pack and have one on each slider. Works really well.

I don't want to sound over dramatic but it was it a couple hundred feet I think. I definitely wouldn't be here if I fell. But it is one of my favorite place to go crawling.
I'll see if I can find an elevation on google maps.

As for the battery I've had that more positions and my girlfriend! In the end just putting it in the rear was easiest, not ideal but it works.
