Anyone running a 21.5t Turnigy motor in their Scx-10 I would like to know what you think about them as I am thinking of purchasing one as my current brushless is way to fast for how I like to crawl yet I no longer have any brushed ESCs to swap back in for a brushed motor. Best gearing options or just run one stock? Any information or opinions are welcome.

I am running the trackstar turbo with the 21.5 and I love it so far. I just have to be careful because this is my first sensor esc/motor. It is so damn smooth. The programming options are off the charts. Way more than I need to run my trail rig. I guess you are just asking about the motor though. It does not come soldered. Hopefully you or someone you know has a capable set up to deal with that. Honestly that is my only complaint. It seems to be very well made. It has not even got warm during operation. I would definitely recommend both the trackstar turbo 120a esc and the 21.5 trackstar motor from Turnigy. Hope that helps. Any specific questions I can help you out with just let me know. I've heard good things about the company so I'm sure the motors are good too! "Thumbs up"

So far I am pleased. I only have three or four runs in with this combo. I am in the middle of a complete rebuild. I only had the system for a couple weeks before I tore her down to bare frame. I dont think ya could go wrong with it. Im running a 8,000mah 2s lipo, swamper 1.9 tsl's , all Robinson gears and diff lockers, and it does great. Good wheel speed and great low speed control. Thanks for all info guys I have one on order at the moment. How long do they take for shipping? And gearing down is not really seeming reasonable as the motor i am running is a 7.5t so it pretty much runs too quick no matter what atm.

I ran this cheapie for awhile: HobbyKing X-Car 13.5 Turn Sensored Brushless Motor 2600Kv Its a smooth motor, the mmp probably played a large part in that. However it couldn't handle too much of a load, geared down quite a bit and on a higher voltage may improve that. |
