| Has anyone ran the max amp lipos
I've been doing some major digging Ina heavy mah lipo that isn't huge for me and my son so when we go out to a trail run I don't really need to carry 3-4 batteries with me. I was looking at the maxamps 8000mah 2s just for the fact in theory it should last around 2 hours on nearly stock trucks. Before I drop $139 a piece I'd like some input. The only reason I put it in this section is because I didn't want a bunch of info from other trucks just really on running them in the scx. Thanks. On a nearly stock truck you'll get 2-3 hours out of any decent 5000mah 2S battery. I get that much time out of my GensAce and my Duratrax 5000mah 2S and they are MUCH cheaper. Maxamps are supposed to be fantastic but the price is more than I'm willing to spend. I can buy 4-6 batteries from GensAce, Turnigy or even Duratrax.

You asked so i will chime in with my opinion and it is just that...an opinion. I think they are over rated and over priced. You can find as good or better for less money. I personally run Turnigy Lipo's in all my rigs without any problem, mostly use 3s but I'm sure their 2s are just as reliable. |

+1 to the overrated and over priced opinion. I run zippy packs currently. A pair of 5700mAh 50c 2s packs that I use in my ERevo and my crawler. By far the most resillant packs Ive used are Sky Lipos. Ive had 2 5000mAh 20-40c 2s Sky Lipos. I currently have 1 left, the other died after 3 years of abuse due to bad internal connections. Blue lipos seem to do good. I ran one years ago with no issues. An ESC short took that one out. The Turnigy nano-tech packs hate me. My last one was a 4500mAh 35-70c 3s that after less than 10 cycles had a cell dies. Its a dang nice 2s now! I hear lots of good about the SPC packs. Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk 4 |

Well thanks very much. This is exactly what I wanted and I was kind of thinking the same thing in the overpriced category. I have looked at so many of them and got so many opinions I'm overwhelmed.
