Default GDB's Trail Jeep

A couple years ago I picked up a bolt on tube cage that was made for a New Bright JK, came with a beater body also.

Had a SCX chassis laying around and bolted it up and ran it from time to time. I liked the way it looked but never did anything with it except run it.

Here it was in it's useful glory...

Well I picked up another body out of the for sale section last fall and chopped it up to fit the chassis, added some diamond plate body armor around the whole rear portion basically to help reinforce it because the rear needed pinched to fit the tube work. This is how it sat for the last 10 months...

I finally decided to do a complete "redo". So I stripped it down and sanded and cleaned the chassis and the body and layed down some paint today.
Stay tuned.....

HaHa! That will remain a mystery.

Anyways here's a peak at the parts I'll be using (anyone that followed my MOG or Rubicon build will recognize the axles, they finally found a home cause I aint selling'em)

Been on hold for a few days but got a couple things done last night and tonight.

Made a floor pan that bolts to the chassis and extended it up front for my electronics. Layed down some diamond plate, got the dash mounted and started on a console/spur gear cover.

I decided to lay diamond plate throughout, finished up the console/spur gear cover (turned out ok), Mounted the seats, looking like something now.

Going to mount the links, axles and shockss a little later and the new wheels and tires. I'l get some poser pic's.

Well I got some time on my hands today and we're having a Scale GTG on Monday so I'm in hurry up mode. I got alot done today, pretty happy.

Mode some inner fenders...

Axles and suspension complete...

New wheels and tires...Mayhem Trail Ready's with the XL TSL's, I like the combo but I'm looking for some opinions/feedback on which rings to run.

The Traditional annodized red or the Legendary TR ring? I'm having a tough time with this, they both look good. LMK what ya think.

Electronic's tomarrow and then some finishing touches. Thanks for checking it out.

I like those TR's. I think I'm gonna buy a set actually!

You should stick with the red.

Can I run that rig tomorrow?
