| Dingo kit vs. Wrangler kit
Hey guys I need some quick advice here. Im looking to pick up a SCX10 KIT. Im wondering what Im really getting as far as upgrades go with the wrangler vs the dingo kit. Im thinking its eventually going to get a diferent body so as much as I like the JK body it might not stay for long if I went that way. Im just talking performance upgrades between the two kits. I know there is a difference in tires, the JK kit comes with R35 trepador tires, are these a big improvement over the ripsaws that come with the dingo kit? The dingo kit is $250 The JK kit is $325 Besides the better looking JK body Im just wondering what the extra $75 is getting me with the JK kit. |

Really depends on what kind of rig you want, of your going to keep the stock body and which tire is better for your needs. Check out the tire section. sent from my crappy phone using tapatalk 2 |

longer wheelbase and the very detailed body. If you're going to change the body out....buy the dingo kit, buy the longer links and keep the ripsaws. The ripsaws are shorter and a little wider so they wont fold over when you're leaning on rocks. I think the ripsaws actually get better traction than the treps. Once the treps load up with dirt or mud - and it happens easier than the ripsaws - you have no traction. My wife has a JK and I have a dingo converted to a honcho....both were kits |

if your going to go with a new body then its worth it to just get the dingo. it has a shorter wheel base however and the tires in the dingo kit are a bit better.... hope that helps you

I should have bought the honcho over the Jeep one. Comes with the basic light kit as well. I have been tossing about the idea of changing my JK body for a Cherokee body. And I have already taken my rear bumper off because it was getting hung up on everything. | |

Agreed, if you are going to change the body out you might as well buy the dingo. I got one and think the shorter wheelbase is great.
