| couple of newb questions
Hey guys, I just got an RTR jeep wrangler and I noticed a couple of things. 1. I wanted to relocate the battery to the front, found the option in the book, but my RTR did not come with a screw kit for the extender posts, was it supposed to? 2. As I was looking over the truck I noticed that the front drive shaft is rubbing on the upper link arm. I would not think this is normal, but I looked over the book, and everything looks to be assembled correctly. Was wondering if you guys had any input on this? |

Don't know about the screw kit your asking about, but my Honcho rubber the front drive shaft in stock form also.

The RTR does not come with required screws for the conversion. Just the extenders are in your parts bag. You will have to buy some or just improvise. I used some I picked up from my local hardware store. I also had rubbing on the upper links right out of the box. Fixed it with some home made higher clearance links. Cheers, Dick |

I have two SCX-10's and both had drive shaft rub on the stock upper plastic links. Was corrected when I installed alloy link rods. Either the drive shafts need be thinner... or the link rods. I recommend changing out the link rods. | |

Yeah, the driveshaft rubbing issue must just be for the plastic links. My kit of course came with alloy links and they have never rubbed.
