Default My scx10 Topkick Tonka

Hey guys, ever since seeing the proline topkick I wanted to build 1. But since I had traded my scx10 roughly a year ago and got a wraith I needed a new 1...well long story short I traded my vxl'd twin hammers for a stock scx10 honcho. It was used but in good shape and best of all it was ALL stock and nothing was hacked, modified or any of that. I purchased the topkick butnit was the 13.5 wheelbase shell so I traded my local hobbyshop fast track hobbies for the correct size (12.4) and immediately started getting anxious and was just going to paint it...well a friend of mine, Elio aka Zonkerd said "we gotta put a theme on the truck and make some BADA$$ bumpers for it, you cant just half ass that topkick" well we only had 1 issue, I didnt know how or didntnhave the tools to even learn how to do it so he had me bring it over...we came up with the tonka theme and he started making some of his custom parts like bumpers sliders and smoke stacks...this will be a slow but medium to high budget build...what I mean by slow is I cant afford to dump thousands of $ right away but doesnt mean im going to buy cheap parts....therefore buy when needed or if I have some extra cash...anyway stay tuned and here are some progress pics!

Now heres a look at the DOPE A$$ stacks!!! Made of Aluminum and he painted the inside black to give it the scale touch! Now, how can I make em smoke? And for the smart asses, I dont mean smoke as in crossing esc/batteries wires lol

Ha, I thought to myself why would he take so much time on it and not chrome the exhaust pipes like the tank but didn't want to harsh on your ride. Very Nice!

Thanks man! Proline makes it. Beware they have 2 different sizes. Make sure you read the specs and get the 12.4 wheelbased version. As you can see in the first pic the other version is 13.5 pretty much a whole inch longer.

Thanks I really wish I could take credit for it all. Just happy I gotta good friend to help a brotha out!...the truck is done I picked it up today..so now the rest of the build will be me and my upgrades. First thing will be some vp links..lowers...since my stocks got so much usage out of em they fold under any bind.

It looks good so far k. It looks like you need a hitch on that bumper.

Looks awesome.

One cheap way for smoke is rc tanks. I see them used for $50, and quite a few have smoke functions
