White Girl Build- Dripping Wet SCX10
 

A Recon G6 in Hot Springs, Arkansas is coming up at the end of the month. I just finished my 2.2 build http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/2-2-s...get-tuber.html, so now it's time to get my 1.9 ready.

The inspiration for this build came from the creek that runs in front of my house, it has claimed countless amounts of electronics in the past, and still haunts my dreams at night. I will ford the creek, just as the pioneers did, kinda. Challenge accepted! Get ready bitches!:flipoff:

well this thread already answered a few questions I came up with today. was wondering if those universals for the front axles came assembled with instructions and worked on the scx-10.

The G6 is the same weekend as my girlfriends birthday, so I told her we would go to Hot Springs to do spa things. She's really excited about it, she doesn't know about the comp yet...:lmao:

Thanks dean. Are you going to be busy next weekend? I'm thinking about going to Alexandria to pay the Hare's Hobby Obstacle course a visit. I'll be back in BR on Thursday, so for now I'm just counting down the days out here in the Gulf.

When I was 18 and started working on the oil rigs I was told that if I work hard I can have anything I want. Impulsiveness has always been my vice, but since being introduced to the RC addiction a few years ago, the only regret I have is buying a Novak Wraith addition combo. I work hard and play harder. The front two are good. I think I screwed up on the back two. They go down fine, but won't come back up on their own. I need to work on that. Here's some more news. Today I went to change an axle bearing in my scx 10, and ended up ruining the brushes on it's motor. Too many cold drinks I figure.
I should have left well enough alone, I should have just stopped at the bearing, but since I already had it apart I figured why not just,,, screw everything up.
I changed the bearing, I jb welded the axial locker, I even put those shiny scorpion axles in, and I corrosion x'd the whole thing. I looked at the motor then pulled on the brush wires and one came all the way out and the spring went flying. I've searched my room for it but couldn't find anything. That's pretty frustrating, one day I will learn not to be an idiot.

I forgot to mention my rednek injunidee. I was having problems with my front, top link being loose and putting the drive shaft at bad angles and a straining my motor. Here's my secret: Between the spacer on the top link and the ball joint under the servo, I put a brass servo bushing flat side forward. On the front side of the ball joint I put a washer and then a slightly longer screw to hold it all together. I don't know if anyone else had this problem, but I hope this helps.
