| Knuckle/link question
So I am trying to improve my steering and was planning to go with some cvd's and the high clearance knuckles from either axial or the VP ones. My question is will the stock aluminum links from the JK rubi kit still work or do I need some new ones? Does anyone know the length of the VP steering links needed with the VP 8 degree stage one kit? On their site you have to order what length is needed and I have no idea. On the VP site is states i will need a new tie rod and drag link due to the steering ackerman? Are you sure my links from the rubicon kit will work with the VP stage 1 kit?

Good to know, thanks. I am trying to get the most steering I can out of them.

I been trying to figure out the same thing. was looking at the axial high steer knuckles and alum chubs for the ax-10. I got half or less of the steering that everyone else at the scale comps have.

You might still be able to use your factory link, but you'll have to add spacers to get the right alignment. Not speaking for either of these kits, but i have the axial cvd setup with Hot Racing high steer alum knucks and that's all i had to do. Edit: I had to get creative with the shorter link on my steering and move it to the bottom side of the knuckle.(was in a hurry and didnt have time to fabricate a new one). Its been thoroughly abused...So far, so good so im leaving it till i have a problem. Last edited by 13in.; 09-10-2013 at 06:21 PM. Reason: edit |

the c's and knuckles will give more but u need super 300 or vp cvds i would say axial cvd's but i snap them so i stay away from them .the stock dog bones if given to much steering angle will pop out

New knuckles will also be shorter. Curved link would be useful to avoid bumping in axle pumpkin when turning. If you are ready to spend some money, get one from Blue Monkey RC. | |
