Default Im going to do it again.

Today I picked up a running driving dingo to be become my boys first axial. I will be giving this to my boy for his 9th birthday gift. My plan is to pull every thing apart and clean the chassis and overhaul the drivetrain. Change the wheelbase from 11.4 to 12.2. I may Chang the motor from a 20 turn to a 35 turn to slow it down. I will be adding a set of Pro Line Interco TSL SX Super Swamper 1.9 tires in G8 compound. I will also be adding a set of JunFac Carbon Steel drive shafts to the mix. To top this small build off I will be adding a Pro Line 1980 Chevy Pick-up body. I want to thank a good friend rcpilotjr for this rig. This is the link to his build up of this rig to date.Rcpilotjr's Dingo

I spent some time on the build last night. I pulled the old wheels and tires of the truck to clean the wheels. After cleaning the wheels with 409 then letting the wheels sit in hot soapy water all night. Success!! Well guys and gals I will just show you photo time.

I have removed front and rear axles from the truck and swapped in a new set of axles. The front axle has received a set of Axial aluminum c hubs and knuckles. I removed the front plastic 3 link and added a front 4 link. I used the Axial 6x91 aluminum tube for the front and the rear. I all so replaced the rear links with Axial 6x106 aluminum tube. The next thing I will me doing is working on the C.M.S. to move the servo up and out of the way. I have already completed this mod to my old school project. Sorry I did not take photos of that mod. I will post before and after photos of the C.M.S. at a later time.

Now for the new

I placed the order for the Pro Line 1980 Chevy Pick Up Body and the junfac hardened carbon steel drive shafts. I finished building the drag link for the C.M.S. I am now in the process of cleaning the frame and painting any spots needed.

Love the paint man, I'm sure he'll enjoy it! Thinking about the TSL's as well for my honcho!

Well everyone this build is almost at its end. I built the battery tray and Esc mount this weekend. They have been painted the same color as the body and mounted to the truck. A friend of mine let me get his honcho box so now I need to wrap it up and let him have it.

Fairly sure the factory established wheel base is
either 11.4" or 12.3" respectively.

^ just noting so that others aren't misinformed.
