the RX box lid won't close with my RX in it so after putting some nice big holes in the bottom to let water out I ditched the lid. I've to my battery mounted in the front location, but had to remove the front support for it to get servo clearance so it was flimsy, and it was high. I ditched the stock spacers and use 2 small alum one for each scre, this gets it right above the rx box. I use the front battery strap, second 2 slots have it zipped tied to my RX box thru the holes I made in the bottem of it and around the side.

its an ok placement for now. not sure it will work once I chassis mount my servo though.

thinking about making a parallel splitter for the battery connections and making a platform to mount 1 small battery to each slider. will get them nice and low and clear up alot of room on the rails. move the weight to the outside of the car (should help with roll overs alittle). have the runtime of a larger battery with some good weight distribution.

I have seen that done before on some videos... just wondering if it would be better to mount them on the sides of the transmisson area and run 2 batteries in parellel... i was thinking i would get double run time and but some weight on the sides...

I think some people that run two batteries on the sides only have one hooked up at a time and the other one there for extra weight and to evenly distribute the weight.

I personally have always like putting the battery in between the front two shock tower as low as possible, whether it be a rig with cms or not. I like how the weight over the axles allow me to crawl up things with ease.

Here's a couple examples with pictures, hopefully this helps.

Here's mine also the battery moved towards the front. Sorry for the pic but you can see the small plate that I made up front also to clear the MIP drive shaft. Got the Idea from Baddger here on the forum works great.

ok so i should move that little box that holds the receiver... because i tried to leave it in its stock position... squeeze it through the box and motor but no clearance i have a temp brushed 27t hpi motor in it... i wanted to keep the receiver box in its orinigal spot i guess for me to move the battery i have to move the box... what type of axles you guys got on your rigs i notice both upper pics have aluminum axles..

The original Axial RX box was not moved at all on both rigs, the original battery plate was re-drilled, countersunk, and cut shorter so it would fit.
