| Extending the scx10 wheelbase.
Hello all.I have a scx10 that came as a kit with the truck body from years ago.Im doing it up and would like to alter the wheel base so I can fit the 12.3" proline 4 door jeep body on it.What do I need to extend it is it just longer links underneath it and can I just buy the 4 links without buying the whole upgrade link set.Is it worth fitting a 4 link set and what else should I change at the same time. Thanks Paul. Last edited by Paul1234; 09-15-2013 at 10:01 AM. |

I'd recommend TopCad or GPM one piece alu links for Honcho (wheel base 12.3"). Cause I had trouble with broken plastic rod ends. On the other hand you will be able to adjust link length with spacers if needed. For now I solved problem using metal rod ends from RC4WD (store.rc4wd.com). They also have various length links.

R2J makes stainless steel links that are about the same price as the Axial aluminum link set. The stainless steel slides over the rocks better than aluminum which tends catch on the rocks and uses 4mm rod ends instead of 3mm. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/chass...-scx-10-a.html |

Or just get some threaded rod and steel brake line and put on some Traxxas rod ends. Get an extra set of drive shafts, too. You'll need to extend them as well. Sent from my Kindle Fire using Tapatalk 2 |
