Default here are my two Honcho's

Its a work in progress, here are a few pictures of what I got going on, I bought a Tekin Brushed 35T Heavy Duty Crawler Motor, I made my own Esc mount. Its ugly but works great, Its vented on the motor side, and on the other is my switches for the esc and lights, I bought a wraith light kit. Up front, I got four lights, and made the bar to mount the other two lights. and got the lights for my light bar. I going to finish my battery mount, and I order a ABS plastic, 1 inch and a half by 2 inch by 1 inch for my receiver box and light controller, it goes up front, its a weird size because of the Hand Brothers servo mount, but should fit nicely, will take more pics when I get every finished.

Here is the battery mount its kinda overkill, Its stuck on with two face tape to get an Idea how wide it is. It needs mounted and a little trimming, so its the same size as the black plastic cage, need to solder on the motor leads and a plug and a matching one on my AE-2 esc. and finish the light wiring.

Made my fill piece for the front today, its sheet metal, if any thing I can use it as a template, and make one out of aluminum plate, cause it also stiffens up the front bumper, that I raised up to clear 2.2'' tires. Still waiting for the box, for my receiver and light controller. And need to mount my battery plate, needs trimming.

People lurk HARD, I haven't received much feedback either. I really like where you mounted your receiver box, I had to move mine to the rear and really don't like it.

With the honcho body and the receiver box in the back, you have raise the body in the rear to clear the box, I don't like, when it looks like that, so I put up front, and it is just the right height to miss rubbing on body, in front of mounts in the hood. plus it easy to remove to work on.

Not looking too bad there. Keep at it! I have a Tekin FXR with the 35T motor combo myself and love it. The motor gives me quite a bit of torque over the stock 27T axial.

When I first bought my SCX10 used, it had the Hand Brothers servo mount, and a going out Traxxas waterproof servo, the servo burned out, with in two or three bashing runs when I first got the RC, I bought a Futaba high torque S3305 as a replacement from my local hobby shop and it has lasted longer than the Traxxas one, and it works good, I got a Ok Performance No Brainer Bec ordered, and I will see if there is a difference. after its installed.

After trying to stuff two Axial Wraith light controllers in the receiver box, and pulling off one of the power wires, that cannot be soldered back on, I got the idea to mount them in a box up under the bed, they will each have there own on/off switch, one controller will run four headlights up front and two brake lights on the chassis. The other one will control the lights on the light bar and two brake lights on the body. I ordered two new light controllers, need to wire my switches to the light controllers, and put some disconnects on the wires going to the receiver so I can take body off. here is what I got so far, waiting for my light controllers.

Hey when you snap photos of your truck with the shell off, try to take a few of them with the whole body showing so we can tell what is front and back.

I trimmed the front bumper, so I can run 2.2'' rims and tires on my honcho, I got four sets of tires and rims for my two Wraiths, I got a set of Ripsaws, a set of HB Rovers, a set of G-made Bighorns, and set of 2.2'' Proline Badlands Crawler tires, I'm going with the badlands cause they have the smallest outside diameter, and I don't have to trim out the front fender to much. I'm not going to trim the fenders for a little while, I want to see where they rub, then trim them out, and take off as little of fender as I need to.

Ok got a little bit more work done, still got a little more to go. I made a aluminum box, it kinda looks like a truck box for a bed, I put the switches in the lid for the light controllers going add 1 or 2 grommets for the wiring. and the cut slots in the back of the cab so the switches are inside the body. then I roughed up the box so its got the beat to hell look.

Here's a look at where the box is going to mount, and I cut slots under the switches for the wiring to go in and out, the box needs some tweaking to fit right, up under the bed, it needs to clear the rear shock loops, needs dented in to clear.

I got my GCM motor forward and hard pan kit installed, bought a Rubicon body and put my light bar from my honcho on it, and mounted the spare up higher on the rear of the body. I kinda like the honcho cut down front bumper on there. looks good, I ordered the right one, I hope I can get my four lights mounted on it.

Got my R2J FS-2 JK sliders, I like em, the look pretty good, I like the groove to catch the body in and tube slider. Getting closer to finishing it out.

Yes, they are nice sliders. I have a small battery on each one along with a wireless winch controller.
