aluminum skid plate for scx10?

Does anyone make an aluminum skid plate for the scx10? Not the wrap around one but a replacment aluminum piece.

my mate runs the topcad one and he`s had no probs with it dont go for the combo kit with the links as they suck. the ends are a little worn after a few uses

Plastic slides over rocks better than aluminum though.

is the topcad one a direct replacement? i need one that is the same as factory. link mounts and stuff you know.

Yeah it's a direct fit. I bought one and it works just fine. I got it because my skid is stuck in the frame and I wanted to bake the paint on.

the only one they have in stock is the dingo skid plate. I'm thinking its the same but I want to make sure before I buy.

all scx10`s use the same skid plate even the ax10 uses the same one. the wraith is the only different one as its wider and longer

Wrong, the AX10 does not use the same skid as the scx-10.

Yes the ax10 is the same plate but some don't have the recesses for links

the only thing thats the same is that the tranny bolts up to it.... The design is different. the ax10 plate does not have the upper link mounts on them, the lower links sit lower and inside on the plate. they are not the same. I have a HR skid thats delrin in the middle and aluminum on the sides that bolt up. havent put it on my rig yet so its been on my bench for about 3 weeks
