| Servo question
I need a new servo. What is the best servo that will fit in the honcho with no clearance mods?

I think you'll most likely get the savox or hitec answer or search the electronics section. I personally like the savox 1231sg. But they're kinda noisy and get a bec if you don't already have one. But the servo really depends on what you're doing, bashing or comping

For my wife's rig and my sons rig I put in a cheap metal gear 200 oz servo from hobbyking. For how much they use their rigs they work fine. Tried em on mine and burnt up 2 and I was done.

there is a cheap metal geared solar servo that claims to have over 400 at 7.4v, 20some bucks after shipping. mine's been holding up pretty good. I've never had a "good" servo so I can't tell you how good it is, but it is way better then stock and has held up to some pretty major tumbles jumps falls and even sumin like 6 comps imbetween. i'll be ordering another as I'm putting the rig I tore apart for parts back together over the winter. 2oz in the wheels for the first half (where most of the majot tumbles happined) 3 oz's for most of the comps. |

| Re: Servo question I love it when some one asks for the BEST and they get a bunch of suggestions regarding the minimum that will work. The best servos for that application would be a 7950 or a bls172.

lol well what is "BEST" is an opinion. the best option for me is the best bang for your buck. I could spend 150+ on a "good" servo or 25 for one that does the job well. once my servo craps out on me and I can compare its life to one of the "good" servos I may change my idea of what the best bang for your buck is.
