They are 1.9 Dog Dish Beadlocks from supershafty.com. They are not on the site anymore. So far they work great and at $5.00 a rim i couldn't pass them up.

Yes, black wheels would set it off, nice job. What plans do you have for it?

hey yellow rocket, I won a set of five of those same rims on here, but using flat irons tires instead, and hand painting the fuel cell on the rubicon body, and I cut out and glued in axial light buckets, and two of the screw in ones, I also painted my rims black, if I was too do it again, I would have scuffed them up more with a courser scotch bright pad, so they paint sticks better, and had them airbrushed, then a light clear coat, cause the paint came off pretty easy putting them together, cause I took them apart and a sprayed the rim halves separately, it might be easy to mask off centers and nuts and paint them with out scratching them up in the center putting them together, that's why if I can find a place that does anodizing, local and fairly priced, I have them done,

I haven't painted my rims yet, but I do plan on scuffing them up and then prime them and put a top coat of black.

Hey Yellow rocket I didn't primer mine, maybe it will stick better with primer, I used Rustoleum paint for Aluminum in a rattle can, I wonder if you shot out of a air brush and thinned it out and do multiple coats, if it sticks better, maybe try etching the metal, cause years ago, when I was a kid, my dad had a aluminum 16' boat painted with racing stripes, and I believe it was etched, painted, then striped, then some sort of marine quality sealer/clear coat, it would not scratch off. you could dent the boat, but not scratch it.

I'd leave the rims as they are, they look fine and if you want black rims, I'd just buy a set of G-mades

I have a set of black gmade rims with rc4wd 1.9 rock crushers. I might just leave them alone for now and if I get bored I will paint them.
