Damn- that's fast! But I really want to know more about the motorized go cart that kid is terrorizing the streets with.

Honestly, it crawls well in first but nothing like a 35t. I have a dedicated crawler and there is not much comparison but for a trailer there is plenty of torque. The gearing is still stock rc4wd 15/60, the 2 speed comes with a 32p spur and my assortment of pinions is 48p. I can go 13 on the pinion as full throttle is rare and brief when it happens. Ha, that's a Razor dune buggy but like anyone else around here would do, it is no longer "stock". |

..waiting for the first "Well a broke a..." post. I like the speed, for mud bogging and such, but for bashing around like that it's gonna wreck something pretty quick. Twist a drive shaft or strip some internals. Good reference video, gives you an idea of the combo speed.

I've got a 4000kv sensored motor I'm thinking of putting in my SCX10 on order. Does this have any decent crawling capabilities? Or too much wheel spin?

Not a crawling motor, not even close, but trails really well at a low gearing and then rips through the flats. It spins a lot in first but never had anything remotely close to a hot motor, the torque is so spread out. Do it with a 14t pinion or less, should be fun with decent throttle range. Artic, blew the front axle housing due to an axle shaft that has a 33 degree bend in the middle. I am pretty convinced that it is because I pushed though a heavy weed bind at the base of a hill though. Had a lot of fun doing it though! I am trying stock again before rc4wd'n it. Going to fab up some kind of axle and chub guard. Had it climbing a 35 foot mud wall on a river bluff, had to be close to 65 degrees at the base, sucks...too much fun to even think about a cam and then Boom! But to me the build is just as much fun. Back in business, did the rebuild while watching my Cards beat the Sox! Now time to get back to that hill with a camera.

Well, I tried. Two stock axle rebuilds, second one attempting to reinforcing weak points with alum bands made from sheet. Both toast. 2 sets Vanquish axles/4-link truss and a servo mount ordered last night. Then stock ax-10 parts tree for links and dif covers, mip shafts (just because I had been putting it off), and alloy bumper mounts to firm up chassis. Geeting close to shelf queen $$$ range, lol, nah not for me |

While it is a dingo kit, the custom links are wraith spec. The stock dingo setup shafts will have tough time not binding with the longer tranny installed unless you limit the shock travel quite a bit.

After dealing with some axle issues I am smiling again...Vanquish style with the Wraith Stage 1 link set...quite a little trailer. On a 6 cell nimh it behaves close to a stocker except the 2 speed, on 3s 5000mah it's just, well, insane! On that note, MIP shafts should be in today's mail for the WB8's (they will go back on the Crawler) |
