That's cool!! I guess there are no clearance issues with the second motor being so high.

I hade to cut the center console and half of one of the seats to squeeze the body on. The newbright was found in a mud puddle dying in my friends back yard with no top or lights and some cracked plastic bits and two wheels left so i wasnt too heart broken when i took the dremel to it. Lol

Ahh ok. I was thinking about doing that twin motor on mine. I'll have to do a clearance check once I start building it.

Dual motors is the best upgrade i have done. It allows high gearing and speed with low motor temps with smooth low end and amazing torque. I run on 3s and 2s and power and speed is very close to my friends novak brushless sensored but is way smoother on the low end. I run one esc and have convinced 3 other of my buds to run dual after trying mine all with no esc problems. We just run a fan to be safe. Do it! Youll be happy you did.

I run a cheap $10 hobby king 45a x-car esc with a novak bec on 3s but ive set it up in two other trucks for friends using stock axial escs. I recommend running a fan on the esc as cheap insurance though. My esc has a thermal cutoff at 160 and it hasnt ever shut down even after long bouts of full throttle hill climbs. I will take a video when i get home today and post a link. Smooth and torquey at low speed like a 55t and wheel speed like a 27t and motors get barely warm. As for the motors fighting each other i would always recommend staying with the same brand if you are to run dual as different manufacturers may have different specs and i dont think the setup would be nearly as efficient. The other gripe people have is extra weight being up high in the chassis but it really isnt very noticeable and the power gains far out weigh the little bit of extra weight. this is another friends truck we did using two tamiya 27t motors and it works great and stays cool even without fan cooled armatures. Very good!!! One more quest...how does running duals affect your run times compared to running a single? I would think possibly not that much, but I could be wrong. Thanks for the pic and looking forward to the vid!!

Sweet!! I just ordered the dual motor mount. Being that I just got in an Integy 35T lathe motor, i'll just buy another so their matched. Now I have another question...what gears (spur/pinion and diff gears) are you running? Thanks!! P.S. like the bar!! Is it too early for a drink? Naaa it's 5 o'clock somewhere!!

Haha i havnt drank in 3 years its turned into a good rc work bench. I always gear for temps so for your combo i woud start with 20/87 . I run 19/87 with the 27turn motors and have piles of wheel speed with cold motor temps i also run the axial bevel overdrive and underdrive gear sets in the axles but i might take one out as its a bit overkill and drags the back around a bit Your going to have one torquey rig ! Those are my first set of wild boar shafts! They are female ends at the trans and diffs with a floating male shaft with concrete nails glued in the center shafts to stop them from collapsing or twisting. One has been cross drilled for a hex pin and welded so it cant come out. They have seen some crazy abuse but just keep turning the tires. I have built a couple sets for friends and have been incredibly tuff. Problem is i cant get steel shafts that are long enough for my wheelbase. Im also using short 3mm allen bolts for set screws.
