| Need help with my home made steering links
So I just finished my home made aluminium steering links, but can't get the steering angle identical on both sides. Tried to center the servo and to change link lenth but nothing really helped. On one side the Knuckle is touching the C-Hub and on the other side there is a small gap. Also can someone tell me the exact lenght from the steering link from the Kit Alum. version. Thanks! Here I made a short video to demonstate. Maybe someone has an idea how to fix this. MVI 2367 - YouTube |

106mm is what is included with the kit If you aren't getting equal travel both ways you may have to lengthen/shorten the short tie rod coming off the servo. If you have more steering to the right, you're going to want to make that rod longer or shorter to make the wheels turn to the left a little bit when your steering trim is centered. Unfortunately if you do that, you will have to dial in some trim to get it to drive straight but you'll have equal steering travel in both directions. If you've centered the steering trim and sub-trim, if your radio has it, you're adjustment is going to be made with that short link.

After looking at the video, lengthen the link going from the servo to the knuckle. I'd lengthen it by about 2mm at the most.

Another thing you can try is removing your upper link and servo horn from the servo...Power up the servo so it centers..You have a steering end point adjustment on your radio. Make sure it is centered.(in the middle)..Basicly if you can get the same amount of steering by moving the wheels without the servo attached it may be an improper servo adjustment or horn alignment You could be one or 2 teeth off of centering the servo horn that would create that problem as well...If you still have the problem then as others are saying your link bends are not the same angle making one side shorter or longer than the other. Ive ordered a steering link kit as I don't have the proper tool to measure out the exact same angle of bend on the ends...this requires a longer than normal link and the bends exact to make the rest the proper length. You can get an exact alloy replica of the factory stock lower link from GPM and still use your upper link mounted on the knuckle as you have it now..13.00 shipped for a complete kit.
