I just bought a 09 jk that was stock!i have already lifted it,changed the wheals and tires, built from scratch front and rear bumpers and allot of goodies and got allot more I wana do!I am also building a matching scx10 that will be exactly like my full sized rig! This is how I start both builds, a box arrives and then it's all business!I already had most parts for the rc as I have 9 scx10's most of them are jeeps,I just had to order Axials jk body! I ripped open the box and started trimming up the body and mounting it,I always mock every thing up before paint.This makes assembly much easy!While I was waiting for the body I built the front bumper ! This is how I have it looking now! Got off early today so I came home and started painting!i started with the top and windshield frame! Painted the inside black and the outside flat black. I painted the interior graphite dust,just a shade lighter than my real one but real close! Here is a pic. Of my big sized bumper under construction! I had to work today but couldn't leave with out my freshly painted scx10. The lights in my shop are better so I snapped a couple pics. I will b starting the rear bumper tonight! Started sewing a mini Trek top like my big one! I will have three tops to to pick from. Last edited by THX_138; 11-18-2013 at 09:06 PM. |
