Well I figured out a way to use the stock trans without cutting into the interior (yay) and the body doesn't sit any higher than in the pic in the post above saves me a big chuck of money lol but I really wanted the ddk but limited funds doesn't allow it. Any ways got the rear bumper cut off and looks good now I am gonna finish trimming the fender flairs and wire up the leds but won't permanently install them until the body is painted. Will post pics on a bit

Looks good! have any pics of how you got the body down so low without cutting the interior?

Here you go, I flipped the trans so the spur is facing backwards and set the body on so the spur is in the cavity in the interior where the backs of thye front seats are if that makes sense and i had to move the rear shock hoops forward a little but works perfectly because they sit in the cavity of the backs of the back seats which also helps keep the body ths low, but after doing this i found my front mip shaft isnt long enough so now i have to find one that will be long enough. Any suggestions on what shaft to get needs to be a least 6" extended

i ordered my front r2j links today, still working on the fender flairs.

Got some more done. Finished trimming the sideskirts and fender flairs last night also I saw the mold lines on the body so I sanded them down. Also got my front drive shaft yesterday from 8upboyz257 yesterday looks like its gonna work out. Also bought 2 onyx 4000mah 2s lipos from Erbing hope to have it ready before thanksgiving so I can tale it with me when I go see family over in Iowa

Would an MIP wraith shaft work? I can't remember how much longer they are. There are several easy stock driveshaft mods if you search. One that comes to mind is use two splined with a female piece epoxied to one of them. That will get you up and running as you should have the spare parts from the kit/rtr

i like the shocks the only thing i dont like about them is that every once in a while the cap which is on the bottom of the shock body comes loose, other than that cant complain. front driveshaft is 2 wb8 female shafts on the outputs with a male shaft super glued to one until i get a more permanent driveshaft. Also got the holes in the fender flairs filled with bondo and sanded smooth, put a coat of primer on the body and interior and sanded and only got around to doing first coat of paint on the interior will paint the body tomorrow, im thinking white body with top, door handles, door hinges, gas cap, fender flairs, etc black and interior black with white accents in "stitching"

got the base coat done and dry enough to bring in the house literally seconds before it started pouring (whoo), gotta wait til tomorrow to do the fenderflairs and the top will have to wait to do the details until i get some artists brushes

well i got my batteries today and wanted to drive my truck to make sure all electronics were still working and plugged in the battery got steering but no throttle so i unhooked motor and took the leads and touched them to the correct leads on the battery to see if it spun nothing brand new motor ran 1 time for like 5 min in the house and know it doesnt work . know i got to get a new motor when i can get some funds together for one. anyways more good news i just masked off the body and just sprayed the fender flairs and the top with black should be dry enough in a couple hours and i will take some pics then. this is looking better than i imagined lol

Really nice rig. How did you do your flat fenders?

It looks like you did the same as I did on mine with the backwards trans. My front MIP was just a bit too short. I ordered wraith long drive hubs for my MIP shaft, 2 of MIP 11117. Seems to work well now, gaining about 5-6mm overall in the driveshaft length.
