Default Crawlorado719 SCX10 build

Well, I have been crawling/scaling for the past few months and thought I would share with the community. I came from the Short Course racing scene so I wasn't completely new to rc vehicles. Anyway, I got a Wraith off Craiglist and played with that for a month or two. I upgraded the Wraith to make it pretty much bullet proof, so then I go to a comp. Go to comp and do pretty good considering the weather and rigs attending. While at the comp I get totally hooked on the SCX10...fast forward 3 weeks I picked up a pretty much new RTR JK with some little goodies from The Crawl Space in Denver. Now the SCX10 journey begins...

Stock Form pretty much.
Axial 27t
Axial AE-2
Axial servo
etc..Rtr..plus steering links and lower links and oem bead lock wagon wheels

Wraith interior in JK body...heavy!

Also made some basic sliders and stinger/winch bumper all steel and heavy also.

Cool that setup lasted probably 2-3 days hence..no trail shots with the driver and interior. I shot up to Denver for a few things and hit The Crawl Space again and picked up more goodies for the rig..

Proline Tsl SS XL G8
CI Foams
Traxxas Revo Aluminum shocks
Axial HD Underdrive gears for the rear
Axial HD Overdrive gears for the front
Robinson Racing Trans Gears
Proline 92' Jeep Cherokee body
CVD's
Bent Upper and Lower rear links
and some scale stuff

Wanted to go kinda different with the Cherokee..

Wasn't sad about chopping the JK body up...it was cracking and everyone has one.

Turned out pretty good..painted inside rusty orange and painted outside with silver and topped with Krylon Plastic Fusion Hunter Green...

Sourced a metal roof rack from WalMart lol...notice the scatches on the body now

Also made a cargo net for the roof rack

Out to play...very top heavy lol

Installed lights and light bar (light bar has burned out 4 leds already...gonna contact RC4wd)

And I'll stop the saga tonight with some roadkill shots!...I did not hit him he was dead already!

Hope eveyone enjoys so far...I'm not caught up yet.

Ok cool, at this point with the truck I was very happy with the looks department and semi satisfied with the performance.
Added to the mix from spare parts or new stuff from The Crawl Space..
Castle MMP
HH TQ Master Sport 35t
Hitec 7954
Running 2s 5600mah 50c Venom packs
Axial Aluminum Chubs and Knuckles
Losi Gold Springs
Castle Ebec 10a

After all this made it on to the truck I was still semi satisfied with the crawling performance of the rig. I chatted with a few local guys and came up with a slight solution...lower the rig down down. The sheer weight of the body and all the crap going on inside made the truck topple over very easy. I wieghed the body at one time and she was a chunky 1.7lbs...

I got a Novak brushless motor to run in the rig...hated it and slapped in the Holmes back in....Thanks to The Crawl Space they took the motor back and gave me store credit...more parts and body.

So, I was not going to destroy the Cherokee body to lose wieght. I had to drop top wieght...new body time.

At this time I was focusing on weight distribution. I moved the electronics lower and more forward. I also installed the new RC4wd CMS kit and moved the mmp under the battery tray next to the servo.

Still not caught up yet...stay tuned!

Comments or questions are always welcome!

Alrighty, I wanted the Bronco to be simple and effective. I opted for no interior and minor scale accessories.

Colors used
Pactra Metallic blue
Pactra Indy Silver
Pactra Sprint White
SpazStix Mirror Chrome
Pactra Black Backing

Was gonna do the Proline Chassis tray but felt this was a little better and cheaper! Ziploc ftw!

Alright all caught up...now off to the garage to slap on the lightbar.

Thanks for looking!

Got the Wraith up and running again so I figured might as well get them both on the rocks before the snow flies.
