Default Budget rubicon build

Hi I'm looking for suggestions on a Rubicon build I'm considering doing relativly cheaply. Just looking for a little better performance than stock and waterproof:

Reciever: Traxxas tqi 5 channel 6158 ro use with my slash 2.4 tqi transmitter I'll waterproof this.
Servo: traxxas 2056 waterproof
Motor : stock axial 27t
ESC: hpi sc15wp crawler programmed w/ drag brake
w/ stock axail rubicon kit
Are there any harware parts or major modificaltions to use this stuff on an scx10 and will the electronics work well together?

I can upgrade later on but for now just want to drive in the snow!!

Spend the $10 extra for tra2075 125 oz. vs. 80 oz. (2056)
M3 machined screws wherever you can! Critical! "Real" Hardware store should have you out the door for $15-20.
Motor will be fine, no expereince with the esc but doubt you'll run into anything.
No major mods required from that list. You might want to move the batt to lower the cog. The 27t can be roll-over inclined stock.

Have fun!

I'd recommend the 2075 servo from Traxxas if you want to get a Traxxas servo. 80 oz vs 120+ oz. Also, maybe invest in a Savox SW-0231MG instead. It's got metal gears and waterproof for $45. The Savox is rated at 208oz. I don't believe the 2056 is near enough, the 2075 is still just a little too weak in my opinion, and both have plastic gears. Other than that, everything looks ok!

I ended up going with a castle sv3 waterproof and the traxxas 2075 along with the axial 27t. I'm assuming this doesn't need a bec since it is almost identical to the stock rtr setup power wise right? Also can I go with 7 cell nimh with this?

You can upgrade the stock AE3 servo with traxxas 2075 bearings for less than $10.00 and still have metal gears and over 100oz./in. of torque..Just an option I wanted to share with you...But not waterproof...can plasti dip it I suppose.

No BEC needed...Basicly anything over 200oz/in of torque would benefit with one to get the advertised power it claims...Unless youre running really big tires or have a heavy rig you don't need a super torque servo...Im using a hitec 985mg with just over 160 oz/in and its more than I need.

thanks. also I got the castle sv3 without a motor so it did not come with cables to attach a motor. I haven't looked much but can't find cables to attach to the esc. where is the best place to find those?

Im not familiar with the esc so I cant really give you proper info on that..but it should be marked someohow on the esc...If not look up the manual for it on the internet..Im sure you could find something on it to help you with the hook up.

All ive seen by looking it up showed the motor wires/plugs attached to the motor itself...not sure if its a separate harness or not.
