Right now I am running a Traxxas XL5 esc. I also run 3s lipo due to running the VP light bar. Need to stay sub $100 for an ESC that will handle 3 s....suggestions?

If youre using a brushed motor the holmes hobbies BRXL is a good esc from what ive read.

BRXL - all the way the absolute best brushed ESC you can buy for this hobby! Just buy it - you will never regret that decision! Edit: lhs is doubtful to have this, just nab it from rpp.  |

i agree with everyone else. It will even run up to 6s lipos and has an awesome bec. get the waterproof one and you're good as gold.
