The first thing is to get the rear tires going in the right direction.

Ok I just kicked the tires in real quick, they weren't even tightened. Only thing axial is the axles and tranny. Has a xl5 esc with integy 35t motor. Will be replacing it with a 21t Titan motor tonight. It was originally built by rolandrockshop and I think I am the third owner. It is sitting on an xtrail chassis

Charge the batteries and run it!!

Everyone is going to give you advice on what to do...if pressed, even I can come up with a few things.

The most important thing to remember is this is your truck. Run it, have fun and report back in a week. By then, you will have your own ideas on what needs to be done

Titan motor for a bit more speed plus with the larger can I still have torque. I have run it already and love it. Pulling the axles tonight to grease it up as I have already done the tranny. It will get paint this winter when I can't do much just not sure on a color. I'm going to order a set of gmade piggybacks this weekend as the ones that are on it leave some to be desired

Fun at first, but the hours of cleaning and regret after just isn't worth it.
Sounds like some of my relationships...

First order of business is grease. Just went and splurged again and bought a spektrum dx3c. Hope I made the right call but I got the rx/tx plus I got an extra rx with a deal they had and all for $55

^ Thats the rx/tx I plan on going with.. haven't really heard any bad things about them especially for that price man! And I tend to try and stay away from mud holes for the most part but I always end up in them.. damndist thing You just have to waterproof your rig thats all! Then its as simple as water hose and done!

you can do what ya want...
but..

I wouldn't go with that fast of a motor.

I tried several different shocks and shock setups.
and that's what worked the best all around.

if you go with a taller full sprung shock your rear end is gonna become bouncy and your center of gravity will be higher and sidehill stability shot to hell.

but like I said it's your rig now.

Hope you enjoy it like I have!
