I've got two sets, one set has been on my honcho/scx10 for 2 years and other than the occasional cleaning and keeping the orings oiled, they've done great."thumbsup"

can't comment on the product in question...

but I do find it odd that folk select the shock absorber look...
Over the coil-over design that is normally associated with a linked suspension.

Standard shocks would not technically work,
in suspending a vehicle that has a linked suspension.

The internal spring shocks...
look more scale on leaf sprung vehicles IMO

I have not yet seen an inner spring CO made for my 1:1 tacoma !?

Re: HR Internal Spring shocks

For me, it's the shock maintenance I'm trying to avoid. Not a fan of constantly rebuilding shocks. Ok so they're not coil-overs...I can live with that.

I was thinking of buying a set also for my sons ax-10 . But was curious how good they would do.

I run the 100 mm's on my SCX10 and now love them after a little tuning.

A couple tips...

1. Line the inside of the shock body with a little 25 wt or lighter oil.

2. Remove 1 of the 2 o rings on each shock. This frees up the shock a lot and eliminates the sticking problem after the truck has been sitting.

3. Play with the different spring rates.

4. Cut the internal spring for droop and to set ride height.

Honestly don't know. Just started my first build (wroncho)and an rtr rebuild. When I pulled them off there was fluid all over. Pretty frustrated with them as they have maybe 15 mins on them. Ordered HR 120mm for the wroncho. It's got twin motors like your scx. Pretty bada$$ in my opinion. LOTS of torque!!!

Teflon tape the threads on both ends and green slime the hell out of the o-rings. Yeah man, having the twin motors is awesome!

I had one of my XD piggybacks leak at the bottom of the shock body. It wasnt tightened enough. Following all instructions and tightening things down nice and tight and I have no leaks now. No goo or tape"thumbsup"

I had 2 in the rear of my scx. They're alright, but I switched to traxxas XXL shocks and I like them a lot better.

I no longer love these. If I did it again I'd get 90's and leave springs at full length.
