why not just XR mod an ax axle to get more width and more steering with out dealing with all the other BS? I ask because I am looking to widen the stance of my scx, just for fun.

Guy that are using the wraith skid and scx tranny this question is for you. When i went to mount the tranny to the skid the motor hits the link mounts. I have a tendency to over think things so i was wanting to see what methods were used to overcome this. I thought about using spacers to lift the tranny or cut a groove in the link mount. I will try to post a pic.

its really great but it makes everything almost too easy to over come, but if you wanna build it go for it, it is a fun build, I would recommend using wraith links, skid, driveshafts, and just drill new holes in the scx frame to mount the skid, then you wont have to run into the problem of your driveshaft binding up with your upper links.

All I did was three link front and rear and stretched the wb a bit so no link clearance issues! And I think it performs better with the SCX skid as it is smaller.

Yeah. I used small spacers to lift the tranny off the skid just enough. Worked great. Ill post up a pic later if you wanna see.

This is Ford country, on a quiet night you can hear a Chevy rust.
