The kits give you upgrades but you need to buy all the electronics..a radio etc...and you have to assemble it...paint the body..apply the decals etc...

The RTRs are all pretty much the same..different bodies basicly...youll need batteries and a charger and some upgrade connectors to get you running...comes with everything else.

The Dingo is a shorter wheel base version ..the rubicon unlimited and the honcho are longer wheel base.

The rubicon G6 is the latest of the kits to come out

If you have building skills and want to buy the electronics you want then a kit would suit you.

If you don't have the skills you cant go wrong with the RTR either...But no RTR for the new G6

If you want an RTR then check out tower hobbies..having a sale for 269 shipped after a check out coupon code; last I heard.

Please dont forget Dingo is having a short chassis. If you want rear 4 links, you can use the stock plastics (that will rotate the diff) or custom rear top links.

Dingo doesn't have a short chassis, it has a shorter wheelbase.

I mentioned the promotion in another thread and someone checked it and said its no longer in effect..average pricing for one is around the 329 to 350 area with most suppliers..youll just have to shop around for the best price.

At check out; Towers gave you a coupon code that gave an additional 40 dollars off the already sale price ..that made it $269 with the coupon and was free shipping.

Price on the rtr honcho was listed at 309 last I check at the sale price...its back up to 355...315 is still a great deal with the coupon...I just looked on my other sources and everyone else is wanting 350 or more for them even on fleabay..Time for the holiday jack up I guess...ive seen them 329 339 in a lot of places before the holiday seasons.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned the actual wheelbase differences.

Dingo - 11.4" WB
G6 - 12" WB
Honcho/JK - 12.3" WB

The different wheelbase is all preference even though I've heard that the longer wheelbase perform better. If you are to go kit myself along with a bunch of people would say G6 kit all the way. Not to mention the JK and G6 kit come with the upgraded aluminum Icon shocks while the dingo and Honcho don't.

You don't get a spare tyre with the G6..... not that you need it

So basically it's wheelbase differences, body, and jk and G6 have ali shock bodies.

Download the instructions from Axial's site to get more details as to the detailed differences!
