Since I started out with the G6 bug 2 years ago at the Birthday Bash I figure I should build a G6 JK Wrangler to celebrate this year.

I will run a WPBRXL on 4s to a 45t handwound Tekin motor. All steel transmission gears, HR lockers, King shocks and grabbing traction with 1.9 RC4WD IROKs wrapped around some VP OMF wheels. Waiting on a 7955TG to mount on the RC4WD CMS to steer this beast. Running the Rampage bumpers with a RC4WD Bulldog winch powered by a Heyok controller. I used R2J sliders for the standard JK and flipped them around to accommodate the G6 body.

Can't wait to run it next weekend at the RECON G6 Birthday Bash!!!!

Have you decided on a color? Where did you get the R2J sliders?

Be sure to post a photo in the RECON G6 Competition rig thread.

Just swap the right to left and vise versa. It will make the angle of the slider start wide at the front and tapper towards the chassis to the rear just like the new G6 body. The sliders came on a trade so I don't know much about them. Another thing I like is that they have a thin channel to set the lexan body in which equals a more rigid mount.

awesome, now i dont have to wait for g6 specific sliders im ordering these today!

one more question theres no speading of the body or narrowing of the body when the body goes in the channel of these sliders is there? the body stays square and straight at a 90*..?

It's spread slightly. If the body was square, it's about 1/4" spread at the front on each side and a 1/8" spread in the rear at each side.

No wrap yet. This was a last minute build up I'm trying to finish before next weekends Birthday Bash.

I used the last available couple hours my wife gave me to paint this thing up before the weekend. No more free time to work on this till Friday night(not the ideal time to complete a build.)

Nice work! Makes my job a bit easier now:mrgreen: They look like they fit good and the only thing I need to do is narrow them a bit on each end and swap the frame side bends. I'll check it out when I get my G6 together.

I did some wiring sitting on the couch while my wife was watching TV. The rear box has my RX and the front box has the BEC and winch controller.

Just need to install the lockers and metal transmission gears to take the 4s and she will be G6 ready.
