I just bought the SCX10 jeep. What upgrades first?

What upgrades should I get first and why? Also can I run a LiPo battery on this truck? I only ask bc it's a brushed motor

I use a Lipo in my stock rig.I upgraded all the plastic stuff

Enjoy it until things start to fail. Don't worry about putting money into it now, it does just fine in stock form. You can run a 2S Lipo just make sure you have the LiPo cut-off mode turned on. You cn get this done through a Castle Link.

Brushed motors can handle a LiPo just fine. Take some time and look through some of the threads, you'll find a ton of awesome information. There's also a search function near the login.


If you DO want to go ahead and put money into it, Here is a good list of things to get first:

- Castle BEC (It allows the ESC/Motor/Servo/Receiver to have the right amount of power at all times.)
- Vanquish or Axial Links (Your stock plastic links will start to bend like wet noodles. When installing these links, it will keep the axle where it needs to be)
- Dean plugs between the battery and ESC. (Deans can handle the power of a LiPo a lot better than the white Molex plug can.)
