Installed SSD winch and bumper. Plus soldered Axial simple led controller power wires, which keep falling off.

Drove it for the first time in well over a year. 50t motor on 3s is quite torquey.

I made a cheap high clearance steering setup for my mostly stock Dolt. It doesn't do jack to help the sad steering radius but it moved the tie rod up enough that it no longer is the first thing to hit a rock. The traxxas link was just for mockup, I made one the correct length from .125 mild steel rod stock.

This rig has a home made 4 link up front along with a Frankensteined CMS using a hacked up bracket from LURC. Overall it was a total PIA to use a 4 link up front, but it's been on there and working reasonably well all year, so its staying. No use in trying to modify anything else to gain steering throw, a set of SCX10.2 axles will out perform/ out steer these old style hands down and for a lot cheaper. Maybe a new rig for next year, but I've had a blast comping this stock-ish Dolt.

charged my NiMH batteries. I used too have LiPos, but they all puffed. Got rid of them.

This has become one of my favorite builds. Main mods are the rusty skin, G6 AL Links and smaller than stock Honcho tires. Takes away from performance, but that just makes is more challenging to wheel. They fit the scale of the body better and the fronts rub much less. RC4WD Trail Finder front bumper. And of course the 3D printed 2004 Yota grill, snorkel, RotoPaks, and head lights. This is wheeling at lunch at work.

Making headway on the new body.. a long way to go, though. A lot of make-up and light kit await. Other tires, naturally.. and hopefully some kind of interior.

Trimmed the old Proline XJ body Axial rear bumper so I could tuck both in closer to chassis for better approach and departure angles and lessen the back bumper for digging in.
