Good to see someone else using EC3 connectors! Not sure why everyone is still using deans. The EC3 and EC5 are far safer at higher current draws and will never get jostled apart - plus, the design inherently shields sparks when plugging/unplugging.

Shake down run on newly aquired and rebuilt SCX unimog, great running rig, really put it thru its paces. Gave it a truly deserving name, The Fud Mucker II,oh and it climbs rocks and hills really well also.

got the body lined up better on the chassis, still only held down by the back 2 posts it was too cold outside at -15*C to stay out there for any lengthy period of time also ziptied the front bumper on until i can get it smoothed out, painted and the bulldog winch mounted.. its going crawling with me tomorrow so plan is to run it and see how the body holds up

your refering to the blue plugs right? if so, i absolutely hate them, i have them on my twin hammers and have had nothing but trouble with them, they loosen up too fast.. i love my deans plugs and will continue to use them, most of my friends use them too so its nice when out crawling because if run out of batts you can borrow a friends and keep running. blue plugs on my TH are getting swapped out for deans soon.

Went for a run in the stream for a bit. Got cold so I Fab'd a hitch out of aluminum.
Added dual motor mount and 2 rc4wd 35t motors.
Mirrored transmission (really helps!)
Fixed some weird play I had in the drive gear shaft (shaft the spur gear attaches to)
Anybody know why that would happen? The shaft moved in and out not wobbling. On the pin BH the drive gear It would slide within the slot in the gear. I fixed it by using a spacer between the transmission case and the spur gear backing plate.

There are a lot of sheep out there my friend. I can't say enough about how great EC3/EC5 connectors are.

Mirrored my trans. It turned out to be a lot easier than I was expecting. I still have to spin the skid. Waiting on the kiddos to go to sleep so I can get back to workin on it.

Hmmm, I've had the opposite experience; the deans spark a lot and come loose easier. Oh well, different strokes...

Busted open my Unlim Rubi Kit, and started building to quickly figured out I needed a quality set of hex drivers. So the build is now on hold till my set of MIP Thorp Hex Drivers get here. Looks at tracking info...Wednesday...sigh.

If you have hex drivers or just allen keys that are worn...you can make them like brand new again by just grinding or cutting a small amount off the tip..Just like new

But I agree better ones tend to strip out less.
