Default How water proof is a stock SCX?

Howdy, I'm starting the build of a G6 and was hoping to introduce it to snow and some mud but was concerned about the drivetrain. Can any steps be taken to "weatherize"?

Oh yeah, and I'm staying with brushed power, an FXR combo

Grease the axles and transmission. Use conformal coating on the rx, esc, servo board and pot. Fill the servo with dielectric grease. Dielectric grease on the rx plugs. The fxr isn't the best esc to waterproof since it has buttons ( and it's expensive as fawk) but if you have to use one, pack the buttons with dielectric grease. Get some closed cell foams from crawler innovations. Done and done

Consider it done! I didnt take into account water proofness when I purchased the esc, I think for snowy stuff I'll just wrap it in material like a chassis cover. Im excited about this build, I have a stock Honcho that I enjoy, but this guy I want to do some mods to.

I have also seen where people have used a balloon for the esc and other electronics, or use a small electronic hobby box and use silicon to seal. I have no experience waterproofing myself (seeing I'm new the scx-10 scene). Just my two cents from what I have seen. I will be doing some waterproofing of some sort in the future for my FX-R.
