Default 4 Link Set Up Help

Hi guys

Been trying to dig through all these great posts and threads but I am still lost. I have a SCX10 its basically still all stock. I picked up a FR & RR set of DMG 4 Link Truss's sometime ago. I am pretty sure I got the Rear End figured out, installed correctly etc.. Now onto the front.. I am having some problems figuring out how to get the 4 link to install and set up. I am thinking that I might need to order a steering servo relocation kit like the Hand Brothers CMS but from what I can tell they aren't made any longer??

What other options are out there if I need this servo relocation kit? As of right now my steering servo is in the stock location??

Any help, links to threads, & pictures would be awesome..

Thanks for all the help guys..

If you have a kit SCX10, there should be a four link upper mount in the box. If not, Blue Monkey makes a combo servo and four link mount. I have one on my Honcho and Rubicon. EDIT. this will still mount your servo on the axle however.

I had issue with servo interference up front, when converting to the 4 Link.
During compression the servo's horn would hit the forward cross member.
It didn't help that I rotated the axle forward as well.
^ upper links were extended about 2mm.

I did not use a servo relocation kit...
and instead shaved some material off the plastic servo mounts.
This allowed the servo to shift slightly rearward.
Just enough that the servo's horn clears the forward cross member.

You could also shorten your upper links...
however... you drive shaft's pinion angle might suffer from that.

This Honcho I am building from spare parts so at the moment I am just trying to piece things together. I will see what I have stock parts wise.. Is this the Blue Monkey kit you are talking about?
DIY CMS and Panhard Kit, Blue Monkey RC

I also came across a thread with a link to Level 3 RC and an RC4WD servo front axle relocation kit. Anyone using those?

I converted my honcho to 4 link using the factory front truss and really didn't have a fitment issue with it...Im not sure why you would have a problem unless maybe using something different from stock to begin with that may require mods to make it work correctly.

Youll find a lot of mods aren't just drop in and go..some require additional parts or mods to make them work/fit properly...Make sure you do your home work before buying just anything for the build.
