Default AE-2 Issue

Hey Fellas I have a questions/issue. I just took delivery of a RTR scx10 wrangler, Im familiar with RC and have had many vehicles before but this has me stumped.
I am running new NIMH 6 cell 2000mh batteries. My charger is also new so i know they are getting charge. I also disabled the Lipo cutoff on teh AE-2. My problem is after a couple of minutes I lose power to the motor, I still have steering but nothing to the motor, intermittently it will regain power without me doing anything other times i have to turn off the rec then back on and it MAY work... Any ideas?

thanks.

Take out the battery and try to sell it! I highly recommend getting a 2S Lipo & Charger. It will have twice the power/speed compared to the Ni-Mh and will have many other benefits. Then reset the ESC to factory settings / enable Lipo Cutoff. Check the General Questions section or Newbies for more Battery Info!

I would check your motor connections. The AE-2's I had were very picky about the motor wires.
At start up do you get both sets of beeps or just the first set?
