Default VP zero Ackerman knuckles

The guy at VP told me the stock steering rods would work. Well, they don't. Which steering rods do I use for the zero ackerman knuckles?

I have the scx10 g6

Thx

It doesn't say on the website for JUST the knuckles, but if you go to the link for the Stage 1 kit, here is what is quoted:

"Will require new tie rod and drag link, due to this being a high steer zero ackerman knuckle."

I had done a crap load of research on the forum before ordering and ordered the Currie Tie Rod and Drag link while i ordered the stage 1 kit.
Currie/SCX Titanium tie rod / drag link

But i'd call the guys up at VP though and talk to someone else and tell them what you were told. They should know what does and doesn't work.

What's the stage 1 kit? Do you have to order both?

the stage 1 kit includes the Vanquish Products 8 degree knuckles (Zero ackerman), chubs and lockouts all in one kit for a little cheaper than buying each separate.

But the stage 1 kit does not include the Currie links, so yes, you'll need to order those separate.

Something else that might not have been mentioned is you may need to use wider hexes as well (I had to use the 12mm hexes on the front axle)

Gotcha! i'll order the currie links.

I was recommended to get wider hex. I have them. I think they are the traxxas ones. I can't recall. but yes, they are wider. thanks for the heads up!

is this question for me? If so, i'll be running a hitec 7955 (i think that's the number). I also go a 15A external BEC from turnigy. I am running a trackstar 120A esc and trackstar 17.5T on a 3S.

With the stock plastic hubs and zero knuckles, does the currie fit exactly or do you need hacking?

I used Blue Monkey rods: Titanium Steering Linkage for SCX10, Blue Monkey RC

You have to pick the 8 degree ones. They come with everything you need.
