Default getting my rtr rubicon 3s ready

I'll be placing an order for the rtr rubicon at tower hobbies tomorrow to take advantage of the great deal they have right now...

What do i need to make it 3s ready? will the axial aluminum upgrade kit for 60 keep it from breaking? I know the esc is good enough but what about the servo?

Thanks in advance guys can't wait to get it

Would be ideal to keep the buying all in one place to get the 400 coupon :-)

You'll need a bec and steel tranny gears and outputs to start.

You will need links, a castle bec, a 13tooth 32pitch pinion with a 56tooth traxxas Jato spur.

Get the 100 dollar titanium links..the aluminum ones just don't hold up..better to get the best now.
you need 100 dollar axles
you need a 150 dollar servo
High steer aluminum knuckles 30 dollars
expensive aluminum c hubs 30 dollars
50 dollar drive shafts
about 100 dollars in trans upgrades lower gear..idler gear..the shaft..the stock case is plastic..so better get the aluminum case 60 dollars
you need 75 dollar shocks
you need 50 dollar shock hoops
don't use the stock esc..its junk..you need a 350 dollar brushless system or its going to be underpowered.
you need 125 dollar wheels
you need to change your gears in the axles cuz they suck..50 dollars
3s is weak..go for a 6s for power
Don't forget steel bumpers..those just make all the difference in performance.
I almost forgot to mention the torque tubes..youll need those cuz the plastic ones break even with 2s power
Currie axles would be better than stock too..the stock ones just cant take any kind of power..400 dollars

youre gonna have a badazz truck man

I personally would just get a better servo, a ccbec, Axial link upgrade kit, and Axial chubs and knuckles. That should do you fine for awhile. Tell us about what you will be doing with it?

What hitec servo would you recommend? Standard metal gear for 20?

I wouldn't go HiTec.
I've had an awful run with them.
Broke and $60 servo in 8 days.
Bought another and it was a goner in a month.
I'd buy Savox
