| G-Crawlers Return To Jeepīs.
Im back at it, havenīt built anything since 2010 but have been on here lurking around. Now with all the awesome kits and new parts availible I just couldnt take it anymore! I prefer to build Jeeps becuse I really like how they look and havenīt found anything else that I really wanted to build. And with all Jeeps from Axial it was easy for me to choose. I have almost built all my rigs from scratch and put a lot of time into them but now I wanted to go a more simple route, but not cheaper! Im going to buy most of the parts and just go from there, just adding my personal small details and such. I have orderd an Axial Jeep JK 4 door kit and some other parts but still waiting on them, slow shipping over christmas and new year I guess but im in no hurry as long as I have it done until spring and that should be no problems! I will not make that many parts myself as the kit looks very nice out the box but as time goes I will add some custom parts for it. The only think I dont like out the box are the sliders, I think they look cheap, dont fit the body that good, so I have started on my own Poison Spyder look a likes, these are the only pics I have for now, sorry for the bad cellphone pics. |

A little more done on the sliders, just need to make the mounting points now. I also got the jk in, great kit, never built a axial kit from the box, only axles and chassie rails used before. Went together very nice. Made one mistake on the body, made one of the headlight holes to big, I found later that I had smaller light buckets that fit much better! :( I made it work I think, hopefully it won't show through the after the paint. Still waiting on a few more parts, then I will take a few more pics. |

Well, finally I got some parts in, so I started building at once. Got the vanquish omf:s and they are beautiful, both looks and how easy they are to work on, also added locked up hardware. Also painted the body today, went with a Grey interior instead of black, wanted the black details to pop more, I like it so far, still a lot of detailing to do. I'm torn about the Crusher corners, still debating black or raw. Here are the pics... |

Finally got around to finish the sliders and a few more things, now most of the detailing is done, now I need to get some money for the electronics. [ IMG]http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w20/gcrawler/20140208_233844_zpspts1fue1.jpg[/IMG] |

Started on a new front bumper, I made it as close to the PS BFH bumper as I could, just a little more work left. I went with the BFH becuse I may build something else as soon as the lexan body is worn out, I want something tighter for that. Last edited by G-crawler; 08-06-2014 at 02:49 PM. |
