Default Beginners c hub question.

Hi all, sorry for stupid question.

I keep seeing posts about the correct orientation of the c hubs, the kit instruction manual is not very clear on this bit (or not to me anyway) could someone explain in idiot proof language the correct way to to this please, is one ear longer than the other or something?

Many thanks in advance.

If you look at them as they would be going on to the axle you will notice how the ends will either be backwards or forwards. Make sure they are leaning backwards. This way yours tires stay straight up right when turning. If the c hubs are leaning forward your tires will lean pretty bad when turning.

Just take your time and look at them and you will see the difference. Good luck

^ these are Axial 8* C-hub/knuckles...
so your stock C-hub/knuckle angles would not lean as far rearward.

Positive caster is when the C-hubs lean slightly to the rear.
Negative caster is when the C-hubs lean slightly forward.

^ looking at the top king pin screw securing (driver's side) v

\ <-- bad (negative axis/caster)

| <-- neutral (zero/neutral axis/caster)

/ <-- correct (positive axis/caster)
