| My Ghost Recon themed G6
So I got on the G6 wagon and got me one also no build thread just going to be posting up some pics on what I did to it and what I'm running on it cause the build is just the same as any other scx10 build trans, links, axles, etc. etc. I'm going to do a Ghost Recon theme from the Tom Clancys Ghost Recon video game but it's still on hold for a bit until I find someone local here where I'm at to make them for me. Hope you guys like... Here is the build parts list with still more to come. MIP Drive shafts: Hot Racing hard steel center gears set: 2, Locked Up RC FI Spools F/R: Tamaya PS-23 Gun Metal paint for the body: Tamaya PS-5 Black paint for the fenders and Interior: Futaba S9157 digital servo: Mamba Max Pro: 10amp Castle BEC: Pro4 HD 3500kw: Futaba 4PLS and Receiver: 1.9 Mayhem Trail readys mounted on Rock Beast Pits: Axial SCX 3 Link / CMS / Pan hard Conversion Kit for Stock 12.3 WB: Axial SCX10 Vp chubs and Knuckles kit stage 1 kit: locked up Rc Slipper Eliminator Kit - Aluminum: Beef tubes: Vp Aluminum trans case: R2J FSL-2 sliders: Here's the idea I have for the Ghost Recon theme that I'm going with but still in the works. This is going on the side of the hood instead of "Rubicon" you can see the G6 logo and skeleton head in the "o" to change it up a little. This is what's going on the hood and or on the door sides, you can also see the G6 logo in the mouth area to change it up too. Here's the new PRO4HD 3500Kv pushing this G6. 1.9 Rock beast Pits mounted on some 1.9 Mayhem Trail readys with scale acorn nuts. Tamaya Gun metal and Black was used for the paint job. And here it's complete minus some stuff still to come like accessories and other up grades. Did a little scale touch up on the rear gas tank. Last edited by muddywaters; 01-05-2014 at 07:23 PM. |

Thanks guys I've also been working on the lights kit that I picked up from hoosierdaddy and started off with the light bar first they are kind of bright right now working off a 9v battery but I will be using a 3s 800mah lipo when finished and it will be a lot brighter to do some night runs. I still need to work on the rest of the headlights, and tail lights tomorrow also cover all the wiring with black wire cover to keep it looking scale and will post up some more pics of it complete. Here's what I got so far. Last edited by muddywaters; 01-05-2014 at 08:53 PM. |

| Re: My Ghost Recon themed G6 Thanks Steve, I'm really digging this G6 it's a really fun rig to run. Also congrats again on the Team drive for Locked up RC. Thank you Jeremy much appreciated brother. When you going to hit me up and let me know what's going down... Thanks allanon1965, I had picked up a light kit from Hoosierdaddy a while ago that I was thinking about installing it on a Jk that I had before but didn't do and put the kit away so I'm kind of glad it popped up at me again cause it looks a lot better on the G6. |

Looks good man Iam goin something of the same route picked up a light kit one would normally see on a drift car or touring car. Decided I would run it as a "support truck" for the other scx10s I have and my wraith so I think the flashers will be a nice touch cant wait to see the finished product! sent from my 5th scale |

Thanks arcanecrawler89, that's going to look sweet man I want to see pics of that rig. Quote:
Thanks fourspeed, it's got some sweet speed and power for being the 3500kv and I'm running a 54t 32p spur with a 12t 32p pinion and keeps the motor real cool. Quote:
Thanks Geeoff I'm using the MIPs for ax10 scorpion which is the same for the scx10. RPP hobby has them for the $39.99 in the ax10 parts section. Hope this helps you out. | |||
