| upper and lower link lengths
Ok so I don't have the tools to make my own upper links for my Dingo but I found some Axial 98mm links what I want to know is can I use the stock 91mm lower links as uppers with the 98mm links as lowers I planned on getting some traxxas rod ends and they com in a pack with four short ends and 16 long ends I was thinking I could use the long ends on the upper links to get a better pinion angle. Any thoughts that this would be ok would be great! |

I would suggest just using the proper length links...im guessing you maybe could use a longer rod end to make the uppers longer to change pinion angle but they make spacers also to achieve that goal and is probably a more recommended method of doing it...Sometimes a longer end can have more flex in it as well so the shorter the end in general the stronger it will be..Exceptions to the rule with quality but you get the idea.

ok kewl thanks Just been looking up the axial option parts and found this AX30549 and most of the parts already exist in the dingo kit except the 4x60mm and 4x20mm posts and some extra set screws. The links shown in the 4 link setup I think they made a typo in the upper links at the chassis I think should be AX80005-6 not -1 AX30549 instructions Last edited by pickled; 01-08-2014 at 02:22 AM. |

My bottom links are 3mm longer than the top links and that has it close to the factory pinion angle.
