Thumbs up Best Drive Shafts Available

ive done some digging and i cant find a solid drive shaft thread for the scx10....i know there are many companies making drive shafts but im unsure on what everyone is running....ive got the stock W8 honcho shafts and theyve seen many miles...ive bought a few rebuild kits and even wrapped the barrel in tin foil to elminate the clicking...but of course that wears out and the shafts have play again....so my question is...whats everyone running? whats everyone happy with? i bet the first comment will be MIP BUT! can i run MIPs with the gear cover?? Im interested in the RC4WD punisher....Gmade Shafts...ETC...whats your thoughts!

Mmm no if you have a Trail Honcho or Rubicon Jeep (ie. longer wheel base).

MIP #11116 comes with 3mm bolt-thru pins like the Axial Wild Boars.

Some of the MIP stuff comes with 4mm scrub screw "design" for ye olde pre-bolt-thru outputs. Found this the hard way.

You also need MIP #11117 if you're running the spur gear cover (comes with the #11116, but for other kits with shorter hubs.)

This is what you use with the older hubs for thru hole stuff. Either way trying to break loose an m4 set screw/screw pin is alot easier than an m3...

MIP's all the way! It's the only drive shafts I'll run on my trucks.

the #11117 is simply an extension to clear the cover i take it...im guessing the #13360 is simply the 11116 with the extension?

I almost bought junfacs. They were on back order so I cancelled my order and picked up some MIP's. I am happy with my decision

I ran Punishers for three years, didn't break but really worn out and now I replaced them with MIP and a 7" Punisher in the rear.

Yup easy answer is MIP's. Tough as nails and available in so many different variations the sky is the limit on how many ways you can mix parts and pieces.

Oddly enough t maxx shafts do work well if you have the newer trans outputs and pinion inputs to run them.

I see a few laughing at my Junfac suggestion, yet they don't explain their experience with them. I've used them in one build with no issue, but someone on RCC has brought a design flaw to my attention that I never gave any thought to. There are circular snap rings that hold the cvd pins in place that can get ground up and pop off, letting the pin fall out while traversing rocks. I've never had a problem because I don't have those kind of rocks to drive over. So if you do, forgive my suggestion as the problem that I mentioned will happen to you eventually.

only 3 years!!?? that seems good to me! i get 3 months topps from the stock W8s id be pleased with 3 years...do you remember what length you purchased? RC4WD have MM lengths and in only own a tape measure lmao

Junfac ones seem to have a good price compared to the #133360 MIPs id have to buy at $75 + shipping....since im only in the rocks 30-40% of the time since im on trials 70%.......it good to keep my options open
