Bumper opinions please.

I'd like your opinion on which bumper/bumpers to run on my scx10 Mojave.
We have the Dingo stock bumper.

the stock Mojave bumper.
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j8...k/DSCF3115.jpg
Or the combination of the two. Both the stock Dingo and the stock Mojave bumpers.

Any and all input is welcomed.

Both......but paint the stock one black to blend in. I like the dingo one, but the area that the stock one covers looks unfinished with nothing there

FIrst option, but cut off the lower bumper/valance area of the body and trim the bumper ends..... or....Jeep JK bumper (either with or without the upper hoop).

If you are going to go for an original toyota paintjob, and you want it to look as if you modified a completely stock yota, i would go with both bumpers, but for more custom look go with cutting the body very nicely and get your bumper tucked up in there more for clearance and such. pretty much anything you do will look good with that setup though so yea :D

I vote Mojave.

Fabricate a bumper from brake tubing. :) Then, in time, you can tie an exo cage into the bumper. Braze, braze, braze!!! You can do it!

WELL......you forget I Don't have full use of my hands any more. It's tough to do stuff like that any more....Lol BUT I'm thinking of having scalerfab make me one.I would love to be able to weld again. You and I would be neck deep in parts if I could..lol

I like the dingo bumper without the stock bumper behind it. I also agree it would look better and function better raised up. I think you will want that chain gone also as it will snag on stuff.

Thanks for your opinion...The chain will stick around I think...lol Where I run my trucks there's nothing to get caught on really. I travel a lot for Dr. appointments so most of my running is done around hotels.I'm leaning towards both bumpers or just the Mojave one.Still up in the air.

i agree with taco crawler........IMO it may be heart breaking but i think you should cut the lower bumper off and raise the dingo bumper upward almost flush with the grill....if you take your front bumper off...does your CMS NEED that front frame brace? u can take that out to give u more room

The frame brace is what the CMS is made of.The servo mounts screw into the brace.Plus if I try and raise the bumper. I'll have to cut so much of the body it will be into the grill to make it fit right.Because the bumper posts would have to be on top of the current mount. I think I may end up designing one and having scalerfab make it for me.

I think it looks great as it is already

On my TF2 I like the stock bumper, and have the front trimmed right up to the bottom of the bumper. Great approach angle that way too. Not a lot of protection with it being body mounted and a little weak. I don't like the Dingo bumper with that body at all.. My $.02

I run just the stock bumper on my hilux. Love the look. No real protection, but great approach angles.

I vote Mojave stock bumper...or a steel one from RC4WD. I don't like the Dingo bumper at all.
