| Upgrades & mods to my JK rtr, good or bad?
So I have been working on my JK rtr I got for my birthday and I am getting it ready for the axial fest of 2015.(Yes I know its next year, but I can't make it this year). So I began doing a lot of mods. and here they are: - Moved battery plate to frame; zip tied to front shock towers - Moved receiver box to the back and ziptied to the frame - Balloned and plasti-diped my esc - Balloned my receiver - pluged the holes in the stock wheels with silicone - Marine greased all of the bearrings on the inside (in the axles) - Four-linked the front Upgrades I have on it - axial aluminum steering drag link etc. - axial aluminum links (upper, lower etc). So those are the mods and upgrades and yes I know there are plenty more, but next Ill tell you my upcoming upgrades: - 1.9 Pro-line XL super-swampers - 1.9 axial beadlocks - Savox 0231 WP servo (around 208 oz. at 6.0v) - CC BEC 10 amp - Pro-line scale accessories - Rc4wd 100 mm king shocks - level3 droop kit - A new jeep body (I will be doing a custom body) So my upgrades go on and on and they are basic. But know I will have to undo all my balloning to plug in my BEC and the headlights I plan on running. With a BEC can I just use a Y-harnesses to plug both my lights and BEC in? I will use my stock esc until it fails, then to tekin. I already know that driving water can cause it to rust but I have marine greased it a lot but not too much. With the body I will paint a bright green (its the same TYPE of body it has). Then with the proline accesories it should add a little scale to it. So what do you guys think of my upcoming upgrades? I sound like a noob right know but I need to know this before I order and start with the upgrades.Oh almost forgot How do I waterproof a BEC? Thanks, - axial 4x4 crawler |

Can some one answer my simple question on waterproofing the BEC and running a y-harness with lights. Im in a hurry to order what I need, and I just need to find out if the y-connector will work on the ch. 3 port with a BEC and a axial simple LED lights! and some opinions would be nice also, thanks again.

I coated my bec in conformal coating and threw it in a balloon... so far so good.

| Re: Upgrades & mods to my JK rtr, good or bad? That sounds like a good idea, I could dip it plasti-dip and the put in the ballon. But I think I could also use silicone on the ends of the blue cover, I'll do some more investigation on this tonight but I still have to order my BEC.
