| steering?, horns?, what do you run on the G6
Currently using the hitec 5646wp, I thought that this Hitec being a metal geared digital servo would have come with an aluminum servo horn. (which it didn't) from Towerhobb's... So i threw on the plastic axial one from the tree, which I thought would be okay, but the plastic one doesn't fit it very well at all. I'm sure its going to just strip that thing quick if the screw happened to loosen even a bit. I do have the servo limited right as the knuckles bind so that should help. Should I just get the Axial HD horn for the Hitec? I am planning on doing a CMS sometime in the future... is there a better horn for a CMS in mind? One more thing! What is a reasonable method to get some more turning radius? I know the servo can go quite a bit further in both directions. |

Robotronics for the horn. Best way to get more steering is to do the XR mod with the rcbros burly splined tubes and put on some wraith chubs and knuckles. |

yeah i guess you cant go wrong with the one kinda made for the vehicle. i did some pretty serious crawling at superstition mountain in so cal. while out for a riding trip, didnt have any problems with the stock plastic servo horn once i tightened it down real good with that "lock" washer, i could have gone with a better servo with the weight i have, maybe i will put the hitec 5646wp on my slash and go for a more torque option. |

I use the Axial HD servo horn...on all of my crawlers. If you don't want to lay out the extra cash for the Burly Tubes and the XR10 mod. You can do what I did to the steering on my G6. Vanquish hubs and chubs and a suicide steering set up. I get plenty of steering out of this set up. Red Cow...G6 SCX10 |

very nice setup mike, i also like how it seems to be really simple. i like the idea of a chassis mounted servo, but i would rather have it turn better, and in return, it will perform better. plus more clearance with that "suicide" setup. thanks for the advice. |
