Ran into a problem with the CMS kit the previous owner has installed.

The horn hits the steering link, and with the servo moved further back on the mount it hits the axle. This results in less than half in inch of front suspension travel.

Im going to switch back to an axle mounted servo which should free up all the travel.

Got my new beadlock rings in today from Gearhead Rc. They really improve the look of the stock Axial beadlock wheels.

Also got the stock suspension put back on.

Awesome job on the links, looks like they turned out very clean.

Links are actually from a guy on ebay. Not sure if he's a member here or not.

Mocked up some Junfac spacers..... Have to actually cut the wheels for them to lock into place. So im getting rid of those.

Also mocked up my motor to the stock trans and ended up with some fitment issues. Not sure what i'll do.

Hey there bro. I like how your Jeep is looking. I saw your post and was wondering what isn't fitting with the motor? Are the screw holes lining up? Is it how far out the motor shaft is? I'm personally having a hard time trying to figure out how to help just by the pictures alone. If you could give a bit more info, maybe it might help us out a little to get the right ideas flowing your way.

Keep up the awesome work on this bro. It's looking sweet.

The motor shaft is super close to the spur gear. Also the back of the motor can sits up higher on the front upper link nut.

Ill try sanding the top of the rod end and see if that changes anything. The motor shaft will probably be closer with the Slash RR Spur gear when I upgrade. Not sure if the spur is actually larger or not

Just curious...why are you trying to put a velineon motor in a crawler / scaler?

Was trying to keep the build cost low and use what I had laying around. And with the tqi radio you can adjust the motors output on the fly. Even Harley had one in his wraith for a bit.

i see that CMS mount you had in there is the same one i tried using with the same issues, the company really should put a disclaimer or do some fitment before putting (that) product out. Hope you can get that big ass motor working with that sweet new transmission!

I wanted the adjustability of the stock ones. Will most likely upgrade to Prolines or RC4WD King shocks when the wallet allows.

The steering link on the front axles needs to be dropped down were the lock nut is. Thats probably why it has limited travel.

Bottom link should look like this.

I was getting limited travel due to the no longer installed CMS kit that came with the truck. I'm getting full travel no with the axle mounted servo, even with the link mounted where it's at now. If I were to put it on the bottom it'll hit the pumpkin.

Are you using these ball ends. These offset the link and give you more room.
