I drive a 2 door Wrangler and I thought it would be cool to make my SCX the same as my truck. As you probably all know, Proline makes a 2 door Wrangler body but it seems the wheelbase is slightly shorter then the Wrangler SCX10's. Is there any way to install that body onto my SCX?

The Proline 2dr JK body fits the Dingo wheel base. You change out the links and move the shock hoops to the Dingo locations. There is a extended body post that you use for the rear body posts.

And the frame wont be interfering with the body?

No interference at all, fits perfect if you switch the links to the Dingo wheelbase.

In order for this to work, do I have to change every control arm? Because I only have 4 arms and 1 V-spaped link in the spare parts bag...

While you are at it, you should 4-link the front. The 11.4 inch link set instruction lists all of the parts needed including 4-link http://docs.axialracing.com/instruct...Set_11.4in.pdf R2J Stainless Steel links are a good option which cost just a little more than the Axial links. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/chass...-scx-10-a.html Last edited by k7zpj; 01-22-2014 at 06:28 PM.

As an alternative, you can go with the Dingo links and just add some spacers to the links to increase the wheelbase to get the wheelbase close enough.

What if i used the shorter links that came in the parts bag and took the links from my friend's Wrangler parts bag?

The AX90012 TR Dingo instructions shows the plastic link setup. http://docs.axialracing.com/instruct...84%A2_Body.pdf The plastic links will really flex and you won't get much crawling out of them before they need to be replaced.

I suggest making your own links or the following: - Buy the aluminum link upgrade kit for the Dingo. - Buy aluminum spacers. - But longer grub screws. Here's my Wrangler Rubicon: ![]()

I was able to get the WB down to 298mm by switching the links around and using the shorter ones that come in the parts bag. Close enough ![]() |
