I have a G6 that I just put brand new rc4wd drive shafts on and now when I drive the truck it wants to bounce. It almost seems like it's unloading a diff but since the diffs are locked I know that's not the case. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Line up shafts where both pins on each end that holds input to shaft! If not shafts not balanced... |

GCM, does the truck do this all the time? is there any situation where it doesn't do this? Was the truck fine with the stock drive shafts and if so have you done any more modifications? Also a picture would help.

Truck was fine with the stock drive shafts and other mods I've done to it. Soon as I put the new drive shafts on is when this started it and it does it all the time. At work right now but I'll get pics later tonight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Other mods that I've done are heavy duty ring and pinion front and rear with front overdrive other then that the drive terrain is stock. Once again truck ran fine in this setup with the stock drive shafts Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by gcm2006; 01-27-2014 at 01:44 PM. |

I know when I went from stock to mip I noticed binding due to pinion angle...take set screws or bolts loose & turn wheels leaving yokes on trans outputs(spinning freely & see if ya got bind f/r??? If so then pinion angle could need clocked!

Pinion angle is not an issue especially since these are u-joint style drive shafts. After really digging into things I found that the pinion had just enough room to move back and forth making it have harsh action with the ring gear. So a little shim front and back and it seems to have solved the issue. Thanks to everyone that commented and helped me through this situation your input is greatly appreciated. By the way this is my first crawler let alone scale build. Not that the rc bug hadn't already bit me but I think it came back for a 3 or 4th bite now lol. Love this truck and cant stop trying to make it better.
